Founded in 1998 the CMLA is a non profit association dedicated to promoting the objectives of self-identifying Muslim members of the legal profession. Our organization is includes muslim and law students, solo and small firm practitioners, lawyers at large firms, corporate counsel, lawyers serving all levels of government, academics, lawyers practising in the broader public sector, judges and other adjudicators, foreign-trained lawyers and non-practising lawyers, who are located across Canada.

Atlantic Chapter
Founded in 2021, the CMLA Atlantic Canada Chapter is dedicated to promoting the objectives of and supporting the Muslim members of the legal profession in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador. We also welcome membership for non-Muslims who want to support our organization and initiatives. The CMLA-AC Chapter seeks to fulfill the following objectives for the Muslim legal community:
