CMLA/MLSA Muslim Law Student Bursary
Applications Close on Friday September 1st at 11:59pm EST
The Canadian Muslim Lawyers Association - Ontario Chapter (CMLA Ontario) along with the Muslim Law Students Associations at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law, Osgoode Hall Law School and the University of Toronto Faculty of Law (MLSA) are excited to present the first-ever Muslim law student bursary.
The bursary is available as a result of the proceeds from the CMLA/MLSA Spring Gala. The Spring Gala was planned by the CMLA Ontario and the three MLSA's listed above, whose vision and execution was the result of hard work and collaboration between all involved parties. We hope to make this bursary available on an annual basis, and look forward to working with the MLSA's to ensure the bursary's success.
Two awards will be presented for $1,000 to two self-identifying Muslim law students who demonstrate a commitment to amplifying the role of Muslim lawyers and their viewpoints in the legal profession.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:
1) identify as Muslim;
2) be a law student in any year of study, or an incoming law student at any Ontario law school; AND

*Please note, this application is open to all Muslims - including those who are typically underrepresented in the profession. Please self-identify in the application form, if you feel comfortable.
